In compliance with the Federal Government's amendments to Regulation E, you must Opt-In to continue receiving the benefits of overdraft protection on your checking accounts.

Beginning July 1, 2010 overdrafts for your ATM withdrawals and certain debit card purchases may not be covered and your transactions may be declined unless you opt-in to continue receiving this benefit.

To continue receiving the same level of service you enjoy today, please read the information below, check "opt-in" and submit the electronically signed form.

What is an overdraft?
An overdraft occurs when you do not have enough money in your account to cover a transaction, but we pay it anyway.

  • If you qualify, we have standard overdraft practices that come with your account, as explained below. This notice explains our standard overdraft practices.
  • We also offer overdraft protection plans, such as a link to a savings account, and if approved we offer overdraft protection from your line of credit account, which may be less expensive than our standard overdraft practices. To learn more, ask us about this plan.
What are the standard overdraft practices that come with my account?

We do authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions:
  • Checks and other transactions made using your checking account number
  • Automatic bill payments
We will not authorize and pay overdrafts for the following types of transactions unless you ask us to by opting in (see form below):
  • ATM transactions
  • Everyday debit card transactions
We pay overdrafts at our discretion, which means we do not guarantee we will always authorize and pay any type of transaction. If we do not authorize and pay an overdraft, your transaction will be declined.

What fees will I be charged if you pay my overdraft?
Under our standard overdraft practices:
  • We will charge you a fee of $29.00 each time we pay an overdraft.
  • There is no limit on the total fees we can charge you for overdrawing your account.
What if I want you to authorize and pay overdrafts on my ATM and everyday debit card transactions?
We will not authorize and pay overdrafts on your ATM and everyday debit card transactions unless you ask us to. If you want us to authorize and pay overdrafts on ATM and everyday debit card transactions:
